Our Services

When you’re thinking about putting a new roof over your head or giving your place a facelift, it can feel like there are too many choices and not enough good advice. At Wautashi Construction Inc., we’ve been working alongside homeowners and builders for years, rolling up our sleeves and solving the everyday problems that come with construction and remodeling. Whether your roof has seen better days or you’re finally ready to build the house you’ve been dreaming about since you were a kid, you deserve a team that shows up, tells it straight, and does what they say they’ll do.
Roofing Company
I’ve seen what happens when a roof is ignored for too long—leaks creeping in behind the drywall, shingles curling up like old paper, mold sprouting in corners no one wants to look at. Roofing isn’t just about looks; it’s about protecting your family and your belongings from rain, snow, and everything in between. If you’ve ever climbed up a ladder yourself to patch a shingle, you probably know that roofing is harder than it looks. Our crew at Wautashi Construction Inc. handles repairs, full replacements, and even custom installations if you want something beyond the typical asphalt. We use materials suited to the local climate, so your roof holds up for years without giving you headaches. And if you’re unsure whether it’s time to repair or replace, we’ll walk you through what we’re seeing so you can make the call without pressure.
Home Remodeling
Remodeling can feel like opening Pandora’s box. You start with a small plan—maybe update the kitchen cabinets—and before you know it, you’re talking about tearing out walls or redoing the floors. I’ve been there myself, standing in the middle of a half-gutted room wondering if I’d made a huge mistake. That’s why we take remodeling step by step. First, we sit down with you to figure out what matters most: more space, better light, modern finishes. From there, we build out a clear plan and timeline so you don’t get blindsided by costs or delays. Whether you want to redo one bathroom or reimagine your whole house, our team has the patience and the skills to help you through it without losing your mind.
New Home Construction
Starting a new home from scratch is exciting and terrifying all at once. There’s something about seeing the first framing beams go up that makes it real. At Wautashi Construction Inc., we’ve helped folks all over the area take their ideas—sketches on napkins, inspiration boards—and turn them into finished homes. We coordinate every phase, from permits to the last coat of paint. Some clients come to us knowing exactly what they want, down to the doorknobs. Others just have a vague picture of the feeling they’re after—maybe a bright, open space or a quiet retreat. No matter where you fall, we’ll listen, ask the right questions, and guide you toward a design that fits your lifestyle and budget. And if you’re stuck comparing options, we’ll share what we’ve learned building houses in every style you can think of.
Home Elevation
Not everyone thinks about raising their home until the water starts creeping closer to the foundation. Around here, we’ve seen more folks interested in home elevation, partly because the weather keeps us guessing. Elevating a home isn’t just for flood protection—it can also give you more usable space underneath or improve your view. I remember the first elevation project I worked on. The owner was nervous about the whole process, worried the house would get damaged or never feel the same. But step by step, we lifted it safely, reinforced everything, and turned what used to be a crawlspace into a proper workshop. If you’re curious about lifting your home, we’ll walk you through the pros, the challenges, and what to expect each week the project is underway.
Masonry Work
Good masonry stands the test of time. You can see it in old brick chimneys and stone walls that have survived decades of weather. It’s one of those trades that rewards patience and a steady hand. At Wautashi Construction Inc., we handle everything from brick repairs to building new patios and retaining walls. I’ve always liked masonry because it’s part craft, part puzzle. You have to figure out how each piece fits together to create something strong and attractive. Whether you’re restoring a historic façade or putting in a new walkway, we use proven methods and quality materials so you don’t have to worry about crumbling mortar or loose pavers. And if you’re not sure what style suits your place, we’ll share ideas based on projects we’ve done nearby.
Flooring Installation
Flooring seems simple until you’re standing in the showroom surrounded by samples. Hardwood, tile, laminate—each has its perks and headaches. I’ve worked with families who changed their minds three times before settling on the look that felt right. That’s okay. Your floors get more use than almost any other part of your home, so it pays to get them right. We install all kinds of flooring with care: making sure everything is level, seams are tight, and finishes are smooth. Whether you’re replacing old carpet with engineered wood or putting in heated tile in the bathroom, we’ll help you pick something durable that fits your lifestyle. You’ll never hear us rush you into a choice. Instead, we’ll walk you through the pros and cons of each material, so you feel good about what ends up underfoot.
Framing Contractor
Framing is one of those behind-the-scenes parts of construction that most folks don’t think much about—until something goes wrong. A solid frame keeps your walls straight, your roof secure, and your floors from sagging over time. Our framing crew knows how to plan and execute everything from simple room additions to complex multistory builds. I remember framing a custom home on a hillside where nothing was square or level. It took extra time, but in the end, everything lined up perfectly, and the homeowners never had to worry about structural issues down the road. Whether you’re building new or adding on, we pay attention to every detail, so your project starts on the right foot.
Painting Contractor
A fresh coat of paint can completely change the feel of a room or the look of a house from the curb. But it’s not just about picking the right color—it’s about doing the prep right, fixing any damage, and applying the paint evenly. I’ve seen too many DIY jobs that started out fine but peeled or faded within a year. At Wautashi Construction Inc., we handle both interior and exterior painting with the same care we’d use on our own homes. We take the time to sand, prime, and protect your surfaces so the finish lasts. If you’re unsure which color will look best, we can help you test a few options before you commit. And if you just want to freshen things up without changing the overall style, we’ll work with what you have so it feels updated but still familiar.
